Our results show a 60% weight improvement compared to conventional steel armor and a 10-15% decrease in comparison to other composite material armors. Once our desired protection level was reached, we were able to lower costs by 50% in comparison to other composite material armors.
Our TMAC07 project consists of the development, testing and certification of a lightweight multilayered material aimed at providing ballistic armor according to the STANAG 4569 Ed2 norm. Our objective was to reach K2 and K3 protection with a goal set to reach level K4.
